Labor Day Weekend is coming up, and what better way to celebrate it than with some salsa dancing!

Saturday, August 31st 2013
Extra Hot Salsa Saturday
Location: San Jose
Cost: $12/$10 for students
August is one of the few months with five Saturdays, which means it’s time for Extra Hot Salsa Saturday! In addition to the usual salsa lessons by salsa World Champion Michelle Castro, Bryan Stroud and Samantha Arias (the directors of IN Essence Dance Company) will be at the event teaching bachata and keeping things hot in the bachata room.

Hot Bachata Nights
Location: San Francisco
Cost: $10 party/$5 per lesson
Hot Bachata Nights is one of the hottest Latin dance socials in the city, bringing together salsa, bachata, and kizomba, and this Sunday they will be bringing in special instructors Peter Araiza and Jenny Mee for intermediate salsa and bachata lessons.
6th Annual Labor Day Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba Fling
Location: San Jose
One of the most popular salsa events of the year in the South Bay, the Labor Day Salsa, Bachata, and Kizomba Fling (a mouthful, I know) is sure to be a big party with 3 rooms for dancing and dancing until the wee hours of the morning.

Berkeley Salsa Block Party
Cost: Free (optional donation)
The annual Berkeley Salsa Block party is one of the largest outdoor salsa events in the East Bay, taking up six city blocks in Berkeley and featuring live salsa music from the Oakland Salsa & Timba All Stars. If you’re looking to go dancing on Monday afternoon, this is the spot to be.
