Description: Salsa lessons and open dancing, hosted in the east bay at Dublin's 4 Ever Dance Studio.

Description: A cool bar & lounge located in Mountain View with a great instructor and chill atmosphere. Plenty of seating, a full bar, and live bands of Friday nights. Music is a mix of salsa and bachata, with a sprinkling of cha cha and merrengue.

Description: Thursday night salsa lessons with veteran salsa instructor Garry at the Allegro Ballroom in Emeryville. Focuses on intermediate patterns and partnering. Extra practice time is available after the lesson for an additional $5.
Description: Salsa lessons with Hector and Jherrica, followed by a night of music and dancing at Blue Fin Billiards in Monterey Bay.

Description: Note: This event is on hiatus until January 2015. Salsa lessons and dancing every Thursday night at Ballroom & Beyond dance studio in Hayward. Salsa lessons with Antonio Miguel from 7-9pm, followed by social dancing until 1am in the morning. No partner necessary and all ages welcome. $2 off with student ID.

Description: Kizomba classes and dancing every Thursday night at mOOv in 1924 Studios in Oakland. Beginner and improvers kizomba lessons taught by Nika & Emile 8-10pm, followed by social dancing. Description: A salsa and Timba party every Thursday night at the Shashamane Bar & Grill, hosted by DJ JuanLove. Monte Negro is a fun atmosphere, where you can relax, enjoy a great cocktail and tear up the dance floor to the best Timba, Salsa Dura, Regaeton, Bachata, and Cumbia. Free lessons will be coming soon in March!

Description: On2 salsa lessons taught every Thursday by 2-time World Champion Luis Aguilar at DSG Dance Studios in San Francisco. The focus of the class is on building strong social dancing technique, covering both footwork and partnerwork. Classes are aimed at a beginner/intermediate level. Dancers should come in comfortable workout clothes and dance shoes. No street shoes allowed, no exceptions. Free street parking available nearby.

Description: Salsa Rueda classes every Thursday night at the Louden Nelson Center in Santa Cruz. Two classes at the same time: into/beginner and beginner/intermediate. No partner required, and half off for students!

Description: Beginner salsa rueda classes with Karen and Michael every Thursday at the Ashkenaz in Berkeley. Classes from 7-9pm, progress from Intro to Salsa Rueda to Rueda Level I & II. Back Studio is in the back of the ground floor at Ashkenaz, behind the main room. If the side door is locked, enter in the main entrance and tell the staff you are here for the salsa class in the back studio. Or ring buzzer at side door and we will buzz open the door.
Description: Beginners, pre-intermediate, "bridge", and pre-advanced salsa lessons held every Thursday in Oakland taught by Salsa With Juan. The studio is open for salsa and bachata practice from 9-10pm, with DJ music. Free with paid class that evening or $5 drop in.

Description: A four-day salsa extravaganza held in the Marriott Hotel in downtown Oakland. The SF Salsa Congress features four days of workshops, performances, competitions, live music, and more, with dancing until 4 in the morning every night. Sunday night will also host the World Salsa Challenge, a salsa competition featuring some of the best salsa dancers from around the world. This year is the 13-year anniversary of the SF Salsa Congress, and the event will likely be the largest ever, with an expected attendance of more than 8,000 dancers from around the world. The Congress will feature live music from legendary Tito Rojas as well as performances and workshops by top dancers including Eddie Torres and Yamulee! This is one salsa event that is not to be missed!

Location: Santa Rosa
Description: Salsa lessons and dancing every Thursday night at the Society: Culture House in Santa Rosa. Doors open at 6pm for food and cocktails, dance lessons begin at 7pm, and dancing continues until 10:30 in the evening. Salsa lessons by Irene Silva and Jesus Cruz of Santa Rosa Salsa. No partner or experience necessary.

Designed for the after-work crowd, Yerba Buena @ Verdi Club is held every Thursday night at the Verdi Club in the Mission district in SF. Ultimate sprung hardwood floors. Beginner friendly salsa lesson with Felipe Martinez. Free parking available and well lit, both on the street and if needed in the parking lot of the Safeway at 16th St and Bryant a block away and open 24 hours.
