Overview:
A four-day salsa extravaganza held in the Marriott Hotel in downtown Oakland. The Congress features four days of workshops, performances, competitions, live music, and more, with dancing until 4 in the morning every night.This year the is the 10-year anniversary of the SF Salsa Congress, and the event will likely be the largest ever, with an expected attendance of more than 8,000 dancers from around the world. Salsa music legend Willie Colon will be playing at the event on Sunday night, and on Friday will be the World Salsa Challenge, a salsa competition featuring some of the best salsa dancers in the world.
