The class explores the the roots of Afro-Cuban dance from Cuban Son, Rumba, and it's heavy African influences all the way to present day Timba, pushing you to improve your body movement and expression.

Claremont Salsa/Tango

Description: Salsa and tango dancing on the last Sunday of every month at the Claremont Hotel in Berkeley. Lessons taught by Yismari Ramos Tellez and Erick Barberia, instructors who bring their distinctive styles and knowledge from over 20 years of teaching and dancing. Classes are fun and open to all levels, giving dancers the opportunity to learn proper walks and foot placements in a relaxed and highly constructive atmosphere. In addition, The Claremont Hotel will offer a Dance Party Package throughout the Tango +Salsa series; 20% off the Best Available Rate with two mojitos at the evening’s dance party. All dance series will begin with a complimentary class from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and end at 12 midnight.
