This place has a lot of potential. The venue is has nice a decor, a decent floor, and a bar that serves some good drinks. The crowd is great too, although the time I went there weren't too many serious salseros (which is surprising, since the event is free!). The event is still relatively new, but I can see it being a cool alternative to Glas Kat on Tuesday nights.

Matrix is a chilled out venue with a really hip vibe. The place is pretty small, but I love the atmosphere as well as the Fillmore street crowd. The DJ plays a pretty good mix of Cuban salsa, bachata, and merengue making it a great place for some casual dancing.

In about 2-months that MatrixFillmore has been doing Tropical Tuesday Event…the Crowd has been very fun/Energetic, great attitude and every week it has been a pleasure to play great music for the crowd…where can you go to the such a nice Place and dance for free after 10pm, please let me know:) again if you feel that the floor is sticky use some powder..which is supplied by the staff. Drinks are expensive everywhere in the City it’s San Francisco
Again, a new Spot where we can all call home, for Salseros/Salseras y Bachateros/Bachateras in a prime local…spread the word and hope to see you on the dancefloor!!

This venue is new, and I think not a lot of dancers have discovered this place yet. I’ve seen almost no marketing, and it’s doing quite well through organic foot traffic.
