Montero's is a bar first and foremost. The dance floor is tiny, and gets even smaller when they manage to squeeze in a live band. The live band by the way is a crazy thing to do in such a small venue because it basically feels like the trumpets are blasting directly into your ears.
Still Montero's can be a fun place to check out and the younger crowd is definitely a bonus for me. At $15 though this club is overpriced, even if you do manage to get onto the guest list.

Live band, busy bar and separate restaurant area. Very packed on fridays. Join the mailing list for cover discounts. Younger crowd. Heavy drinking club atmosphere. There is a tree in the center of the dance floor which makes the floor even more crowded.
