Free salsa dancing every Monday night at the Azucar Bar & Bistro in downtown San Jose. Beginner salsa lessons with Jesse JazzyJez Giovanni from 8:30-9:30pm followed by dancing until midnight to salsa, bachata, and merrengue music.

If you need your Monday night salsa fix, Azucar Salsa Mondays (organized by Mr. Jesse "JazzyJez" Giovanni) is one of the best events around.
Held in the Azucar Latin Bistro in downtown San Jose, Azucar Salsa Mondays is a free salsa event which includes a free dance lesson and dancing until midnight. Azucar also has a full bar, featuring Azucar's famous (but pricey) mojitos.
The crowd at Azucar is usually pretty small, but if you're looking to go dancing on a Monday night, there are few places that are better to go dancing than Azucar's.

Azucar is a fun little lounge with arguably the best mojitos around. The dance floor is small (and divided by pillars!) but I'm a sucker for the underground vibe, and you really can't beat free dancing and awesome music courtesy of DJ JazzyJez.

AZUCAR EXPANDED! Was there a few weeks ago, had a great time. They have two lounges, tons of dance space and 2 happy hours, one at 5p-7 & another 9-11. Mojitos are so refreshing after a dance lesson & the DJ plays some great music to dance to. It is definitely the place to go with you lady friends and hang out. Friendly, good people, vibe and popping on a Monday night.

Nice little venue with good drinks and a mix of local dancers leaning toward the 21-35 year range. The small crowd tends to have more beginner dancers but is a good mix. Not that spacious but definitely a fun place with a good lesson and good music.
